The future of searching - A Google Perspective
The search engine giant Google is in a move to change the “ Search” more personalized and specialized. According to Google, there are four areas where the search going to change in a dramatic way. The four areas are voice, context, location, personal information.
Voice
Huge changes is being happening in Google’s natural language processing. A year before there was one-in-four error rate on Google’s spoken word queries. Currently it is decreased to one sixteen. Behshad Behzadi, director of search innovation at Google’s Zurich lab pointed out this. Natural back-and-forth between human and computer is the target of the company.
Context
Now Google could link your searches and give you the exact information which you are looking for. For example if you first entered “ India” and then “Temples” search engine will link these two consecutive searches and will give you details of “temples in India”. So it narrows the search field for you and give you right information in a quick way.
Location
Google is trying to grab more user based location information's. Through that they are trying to provide more personalized location information. So when you have any doubts regarding places during a travel, Google will help you. So this not ending in merely providing location information's but also includes alerts which can make you aware of nearby things. This location awareness is getting power.
Personal Information
Google now focusing more individual information. They are trying to provide more reminders or suggestions to users. Google is trying to get more personal data from people. Even though this a bit controversial the results of this will be quite useful. Customized services to users will be increased.
