Google launches the Android Beta Program for Android N updates over the air
Nearby today's news of an early preview of the next version of Android, Google is reporting the Android Beta Program to developers a chance to try new features – including multi-window bolster and improved notifications – without flashing a fresh ROM and wipe their devices.
That is nothing but developers will get updates to their devices over the air(OVA), similar to regular ongoing phone updates from your carrier. . Given that Google's main objective with releasing the Android N preview so early is to get developer criticism, not wiping and streak a ROM onto your devices is a major help, if only for the sake of convenience.
You may remain in the Android Beta Program beyond the N release to preview future Android N maintenance releases (MRs). If you want to do such, you will automatically get an OTA(over-the-air) update to pre-release versions of the MRs as they become available. At the end of the program, you will begin to receive regular public updates.
