Is Android apps going to follow iOS ?

It sense quite crazy that Android interface is getting similar to iPhone. The Android  app material design guidelines for developers is an example for this. There is  a greater emphasis on placing the navigation bar on the bottom of the screen which allows switching between the  different sections and parts of the same app quicker. This is same design style iOS in iPhones and iPads. So there is concious effort to imitate iOS in design.

Google has brought a subtle change in this navigation bar and name  it “ Bottom navigation bars” but almost same with that of iOS one.  That is when a user scrolls down through the content the bar disappear and it will free more space. In apple, except the Safari web browser, the navigation bar remains static.

Google try to tell the users that an option on the screen has been successfully selected and for that they have urged developers to include some hints.  The user will get a visual feedback when you select an option in the navigation bar or  any other  part of the app. This will be displayed as enlarging of the corresponding button.

The ‘hamburger’  button is main option in Google until now. It is the three lines at the top right corner of an app - for navigation. What a user basically do is to tap on that to open all other options and menus for the app. Here  all those options will be moved to navigation bar with each option getting their own distinct identity the navigation becomes easy. It is so especially in big screen phones. So all these items show that Android shows a quite inclination to IPhone interface designs.
