Flipkart - The first Indian Mobile App to reach 50 million downloads
Flipkart the leading e-commerce company now is on the glory of a record. It has reached to 50 million downloads on Google Play. It is a company which is having a net valuation of more than $15 billion.
Flipkart has also become an Indian app which achieved 50 M installs on various Android devices. They have reached this milestone by the first week of February 2016. The e-commerce giant is also one of the highest rated Indian shopping app on google play which have 1.7 M ratings with 4.2 out of 5.
According to the mobile app analytics company SimilarWeb, Flipkart is the leading shopping app in India receiving 47 % of total ecommerce hits. The report also says that Flipkart and Myntra together received 63 % of total traffic. Followed by this Amazon comes and the rate is 15.86 % and Snapdeal of the rate 13.84 %.
When it comes to the operating system itself, Android has a total market share of 82.8 % and followed by Apple ‘s iOS with a market cap of 13.9. The third position is Windows Phone OS which has the market share of 2.6 of the total. Others accounts for 0.7 %.
Indian smartphone market reached to the second position in the world and it is still showing the sign of growth. The total traffic comes from the mobile devices and this trend seem to increase.
