Up to 70 % of data can be saved by new Data Saver mode on Chrome for Android

The new new announcement from Google is that it is going to update the Data Saver Mode on Chrome for android. If the data saver mode is on, it will save up-to 70% of data. This was announced by Google’s product manager (for Chrome) through Google’s official blog. When connection speed is low Google will remove images from a page. Thus the data saving is accomplished. Once the body of the page is loaded, the user can tap a button to show the images. The major advantage of this new update was it makes faster web access even on slow connections.

The feature will be available on India and Indonesia and later will reach to other countries too. The data saver on chrome for iOS is still not announced. There have been competitors for this also. last week Opera announced a new update for Opera Max which claims 50% data saving. Ultra Data Saving Mode from Samsung is another competitor.

The new initiatives from the side of major players will help the users to get good web services even in slow connections. It is good move as per the user perspective.
